Waste Management Practices and Commitments of AEL:

Environmental Laws and Regulatory Compliance

By staying abreast of evolving environmental legislation, we ensure that our waste management practices consistently meet the highest standards.

Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)

We actively participate in Extended Producer Responsibility programs to responsibly manage specific types of waste, including e-waste, battery waste, and plastic waste.

Reverse Vending Machines (RVM)

To promote plastic bottle recycling, Reverse Vending Machines (RVM) are installed at Mumbai and Ahmedabad Airports, encouraging travelers to recycle their plastic bottles

Mining Overburden

Mining overburden is repurposed and used for backfilling within the mines, reducing waste generation and optimizing resource utilization.

Certified Landfill Sites

For waste that cannot be recycled or reused, we have established robust mechanisms for proper disposal via certified landfill sites which adhere to regulatory standards, ensuring the safe and environmentally sound handling of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
